Help with mudflaps!!

Hey guys, I'm very very new here and have no mechanical sense what so ever!! I'm a wildlife photographer and travel very long distances and at times go very muddy/dusty places. I have just purchased a 2006 signum (very dark metallic blue) and want to put the vauxhall mudflaps on it. Can they be painted? if so, where can I go to get them painted and what preparation do they need?

I just got mine done at the local VX bodyshop, in metro blue, probably the same colour as yours. They added something to the paint mix to allow them to flex a bit without cracking or getting too stonechipped. I'll post a picture when I get a chance to take one

Did you purchase them seperately, then take them to the VX shop solely for a paint job then fit them yourself, or did you get them to do the entire thing? How much did the painting cost too? Cheers mate.

Bought them myself and fitted them too - painting cost 40 quid, quite a lot I suppose but i didn't know anyone in the trade to ask

Thats not that a bad price buddy. Rubber aint easy to paint, i may send mine up to you to get them done as yours have a good finish
