Steering wheel movement

I have an 02 vec c and it has suddenly developed a good amount of horizontal and vertical movement at the steering wheel. Any ideas? Are there any bushes , clamps etc that may need replacing on the column?

Got around to having a look at this problem and found the following. The steering column locates via 2 'V' shaped mounts. these mounts have a groove in them to which a plastic bush is located. On my car these plastic bushes have disintegrated hence the play. I've just been to vauxhall and these parts aren't available seperately - I would need to buy a new steering column for the thick end of £300. Needless to say I'll be sorting my own solution.

I suspect I have a similar issue
I can wiggle the steering column left to right when the steering lock is applied
It's been like that since the CIM module was replaced, I suspect it was damaged during that, and I have yet to book it in

Mine was attended to on service, secured in place
However when I got home it became loose again
It's booked in again next week
If the info is as above, then any further repair will be a waste of time and new steering column will be required
