    Default does the de-restricting airbox mod work?

    i did this mod on friday[bottom piece only] and replaced paper filter with new paper one.didnt remove battery terminal to reset ecu but did over 100miles on a run so ecu should have re mapped,thing is im not sure if there is a difference? mines a 19cdti[150].whats your thoughts or experience of doing this mod?

    maybe the plasebo effect,but many ppl found it got rid of the flatspot in the deisel .

    i done this on saturday and to be honest have felt no difference at all yet

    I did the mod with a new airfiltre, put it back to standard after the throttle body fiasco and have now redone the mod...
    I can't feel any difference on my 120 1.9
    The new TB has clouded the issue though..
    I have convinced myself that more air in is available and the whole filter area is used therefore its a good thing...

    I havent found any positive or negative difference at all since i did mine, not even a change in the noise!

    i found that it worked on mine mines the 3.0cdti tho less flat spots, if nothing plus i put a k&n pamel filter in to

    mines the 1.8 vvt sri mod plus k&n panel made big difference smoother and more responsive even wife noticed

    Did my 3.0 CDTi last weekend, and there's no doubt it's almost completely wiped out the flat spots from 2nd and 3rd. I've got a shiny new K&N on order, so we'll see if that makes any difference!

    We done this along with a bsr kit and now my engine management is playing up throwing up air mass flower meter code where too much air is being sucked in. Going to put it back to standard and see how it is then. Time for a new air box
