    Default Bluetooth phone cradle

I hope this is in the correct place!

I've just got a 55 plate cdti sri 150 which i absolutely love.
However, im wanting to remove the bluetooth phone cradle (the piece next to the handbrake) as i would rather have the cup holders.
I just thought id check that the bluetooth will still work after ive removed the cradle, is this the case?

    Thanks in advance

    Hi Jon,
I've done this myself to my car and all that bluetooth cradle does is charge the phone (if you have to correct cradle for your phone model) The cup holders are a direct replacement for that part so your good to go!

....dont be to keen for the cup holders..IMHO they are useless... u cannot get anything biiger than a can in there other wise u just end up knocking the drink when changing gear.

Why they cant have those ones that pop out of the dash i dont know!!!

    Talking

I have just bought an 08 Vectra SRi 1.9 CDTi (150) Nav from a franchised vauxhall dealer.

I asked him to replace the phone cradle with the cup-holders as part of the deal.

On picking up the car he told me it couldn't be done as it would stop the bluetooth working.

At home I did a Google search and found you guys on this forum, I e-mailed the links showing it could be done along with a few terse but polite words and today I went along and had my cup holders fitted!! With a smug grin on my face!!

    Thank you Vectra-C.com!!
