    Default Lowered and creaking!

Lowered my Vectra c (56 plate) yesterday down about 40 mm, now theres a creaking/clunking when turning at very slow speed.

I'm thinking drop bar links or top caps??

    Any help appreciated!

It's on supersport coilovers if that makes a difference, thought i'd give them a try.

    Regards

    Jason

As your getting the noise at slow speed whilst turning steering wheel, allmost certain to be the top steering mounts/...?did you grease them when you had them off...if it was the drop links ,i would have thought the noise apparant before you droped the car.

You also need to fit the sleeves on the bottom of the springs and also copperslip the pans to help the springs slide when you turn the steering.

Can 99% say it's the top strut bearings mate. I lowered mine and got the same symptoms, greasing wont solve it best bet is just to buy new ones and re-fit them. They're not expensive either.

    Part No.13270705

Also see this thread from another member who had the same symptoms and I told him the same thing Just the extra stresses of being lowered cause the weakness to be exposed.
