Default Are my lights needing re-aimed

Had the new Vec out at night last time, the dipped lights seem to be really far down, even at "0" on the adjuster... do they need realigned or are all facelift Vec Cs like that??

I thought mine was quite low too when I had my vec-c. (seems common occurance) It's quite a easy matter to raise them slightly.

Duncan did a useful How-2 for adjusting them and is in the How-2 section of the site.

Basically, the easiest way is to position your car in front of a wall or garage door, and put your beam position switch in its highest position.
Then put a mark where the lights hit the wall using a bit of tape or whatever.
Then lower your beam height switch down to the centre, ie a couple of notches. Then using a Allen Key you can adjust the lights back up to the position they were originally. The lamp height adjustment is dead easy, and is done by inserting the Alen key in the holes along the top of the front grill, ie. across the top where the bonnet lock is. There is two either side, the outside two are the dipped.

Unfortunately I dont remember the Alen key size.

If you have them done at the dealers, make sure you set your beam position switch to the centre or one notch lower before taking it in. That way it will give you a little room to raise it more afterwards if you feel it needs it. IME most dealers tend to set them a touch low instead of a touch high to be on legal safe side.
