New Clutch & DMF Fitted......

...and all I can say is I can't believe all the little things that are caused by the failure of a DMF. Mine had been rattling for about 10K+ miles now, the noise was quite bad, it even sounded bad when driving, almost like the gearbox had no oil in it, also the car shook when labouring too and it had an very slight (but annoying) misfire at certain revs (3rd injector mod done). Also it made (what I can only describe as an Airwolf noise) a strange noise when changing gear over 2.5K revs.

So when I pick the car up last night, literally all the above had gone, no noise what-so-ever from the gearbox now, the car drives so smooth, the misfire has gone, I can now do 30mph in 4th (where I couldn't before as it laboured so bad) and also, which will make the biggest difference over time is that it appears less throttle movement is needed to drive the car (doing the same journey to work) and the mpg is up - but the weather is nice and there was no traffic, so that will be monitored over time.

Overall I am very happy now, and the job I knew about (hence getting my car for cheaper) is now done and drives like a new one.... just thought I would share my happiness on this lovely sunny day

Needles to say my warranty will be extended with Sureguard. There is absolutely no way i'll have paid that much in if it ever went on me with my current veccy.
