    Default Revs slow to drop

Hi, new to this site and this is my first post. we got the signum 20t in 2005 and it's been great. a few months back I drove it and it felt as if it had a flywheel from a steam engine, slow to gain revs and takes too long for them to drop back down to idle. can't get any sense out of any garage or dealership. nothing shows on diagnostic. but it's spoiling the drive makes it sluggish and affects the gear change, through the revs not dropping between gears. come on then vauxhall fans...tell me what I need to do now. . Cheers! Baz.

Hi, and welcome to the site

How is the airfilter? Is it clogged?

Get yourself a bottle of "petrol booster", stuff to mix in the petrol to clean and lubricate. Don't buy the cheapest, no-name brand, buy quality. I don't know the UK market well, but several here use a brand called Miller(s). Use double or triple amount in the tank, and fill up with petrol.
Get on the highway and drive with low gear / high rpm for at least 20-30 minutes (with high rpm i don't mean to drive at redline, but more like 4500-5000 if your cars redline is at 6500rpm). Together with the petrol booster, this will burn out some residue in the exhaust system, cleans up the catalysator, lamda, and other parts.
It's a fair chance this will do the trick. If not, still you have "cleaned the system", and most probably you will notice some more power

Mods: I polished it in september...
