    Default Normal Ride Height

    Hi All.

Does anyone happen to know what the normal ride height for a standard 1.8 Sri on 215/50/17 tyres is? The gap between the tyre and the wheel arch on the rears look less than the front on my 07 car. Not sure if this is normal or if there is a problem.

Have you checked the springs for breaks, common problem and worth checking.

Not yet. Only noticed today as ride in the rear is quite harsh. Was hoping to be able to do an easy check first as weather is not great at the moment to get under the car.

do check the springs but it is normal for there to be a differance in front/rear heights, fronts slightly higher, sorry i`m not sure of the measurements, it may show them in the handbook.

    Perfectly normal. I have a 2.0T SRI-based model and it's the same.

Most cars are like this buddy if you look properly. Its not sitting higher its just that the wheel arch is taller on the front as those are the wheels that need to turn
