Default Water in my footwell !!!

    cant believe it!
got in my car tonight and the pass footwell is puddled with rain water !
only had the car about 6 weeks :-(
ive gotta go and sort it out (if this crap weather ever gives me a break!)
guess il have to use a towel to soak it up.
has this happen on my last car and it stunk of damp all the time.

Anybody know if this is common fault on veccys ?

it feels like it may have ran down from the back of the footwell?

Is it possibly came down from pollen filter area? this is what happened on the last car....?

    ####

    any help wil be appreciated.....
    cheers...

Yep, your right. pollen filter area. Theres a rubber drain that gets blocked. Put your fingers through it and the water will run away. then buy a new pollen filter if yours is wet

just in from being outside under the bonnet...
as expected the drain hole under Pfilter was blocked with mushy leafs..
poke my finger thru and gush the water gushed thru and out onto the drive! Brilliant result !
just gotta go dry it out now!

    once again!

If... and i say IF, we get a dry day leave the windows open to let it air out..

If you though try and get a wet and dry vac on it to suck up as much water as poss.

I sold my last Vec C because of this problem. It was literally like a swimming pool in there. During the winter i was outside every day sucking the water out with our Vax thingy. Because mine wouldnt stop leaking it began to smell so i took it to a dealer and told him the problem, he took it in part exchange for another car. Im not trying to put anyone off here, its obviously a common fault. Thing is at the time i didnt know about the pollen filter blockage so the dealer probably cleared them out and got a very cheap car out of me. (Does it always pay to be honest????) I wouldnt have sold it privately knowing the fault was there, it would have played on my mind.
