Default Aux input on a CCR2006?

Does anyone know how I could get an Aux input into a CCR2006? I want to possibly feed the sound from a portable DVD player into the car speakers.

Without adding amps and getting complicted, is there an easy way? (other than an FM modulator as they kill the quality IMO).

Ah okay, that answers that then!

So what does complicated entail then?

OK, well that currently rules that one out then (unless any one has a suggestion). I'm not going to bother with a new HU.

the problem with fitting an amp would mean fitting switches in the speaker cable to ensure to back feed - a real ball ache. A new HU is the only way if theres no other inputs into the CDR2006

I'll pull the HU out to double check, but I can't see what inputs there would be. It only has source selector for tape/CD/radio so I can't see it having any aux input.

I'm not going to go to the ball ache of fitting an amp, so I think it'll be a non-runner. I'll just have to get by with the unit's built-in speakers.

    Thanks guys

You'd have a phone input on the back but it's only a mono input & will come through two front speakers only. You'll also need an earthed switch to switch the input over.

Yes the AUX input is only Mono and of poor quality as its designed for a hands free kit, or in my case I used it for my Traffic Master and it works fine for that, but no good for music, it would sound all tinny with no bass.

Its not hard to change the HU you could always go down the single DIN option and just buy the Vauxhall shaped panel, and get the adaptor lead to enable you to use your steering wheel controls. It would sound a lot better, as the Vauxhall head units are a bit n*ff.
