    Default spring fitment

    guys i know their is a how2 for this but i just wondered..

    How difficult is it to fit the 4 springs on the pre facelift cdti?

    Im going to be doing mine soon I hope just becareful you dont want to take your head off with the springs when they compress

    get yourself a good safe set of clamps , i done mine on the driveway all 4 in 2.5 hours

    same here, the rears are a doddle, as already stated get some good clamps, £20ish and steady does it, job done in 2/3 hours, do the rear first coz they`re the easy ones. good luck.

    Yes get good spring clamps, do rears 1st, done all mine in 2 - 3 hours only one bolt on the backs..... i put eibachs on , lowered it 30 mm.... good luck

    did mine today in about an hour, the front springs have very little load on them so dont worry about springs flying about the place and you dont need clamps to fit the new springs (eibach) you can simply push down the top mount with one hand and start nut with other.

    if you have not got eibach's fitted do it now.

    totally transformed the ride and handling, no more crashing over bumps and road noise has even been reduced.
