you may already be aware of this but most of these kits are for dipped beam only. When you put your full whack high beam on its just the standard bulbs!!!

Let me know if you have any trouble with the ballasts randomly not starting, especially in the wet.
I've recently had problems with a set from HID direct, which ive already sent back once but they were convinced that it was just the capacitors that were at fault. They replaced the capacitors and returned the kit to me, but i'll have to wait until the cars back from thre spray shop to test them fully.

It says in the blurb that the ballasts are 100% waterproof (cough cough!) I dont think so...
If you get problems, carefully (so it doesnt invalidate the warranty) unscrew and take the back plate off the ballasts and check the amount of potting solution that has been put in there. Mine were both only half full exposing alot of electronic components to the damp air.

Fingers crossed you wont get any problems with your kit :-)

The Vectra uses seperate bulbs for dipped and main beam - to have HID dipped and main beams you will need to buy two HID kits.

IMO its not worth buying 2 kits so you can have a main beam too. with the type of driving i do i maybe only use my main beam 2% of the time. the extra light that will be emitted will probably not require the main beam anyway.

Totally agree with Stephen S. I'm also a bit scepital about HID's functioning correctly when 'flashed'. I think you'll find with dipped HID's you won't need main beam anyway!

I think the HIDs would be bright on the first flash however if you flashed several times the rest would be quite dim. also I think it very much shorten's the life of ballasts.

With HIDs in the dipped you'll never use your main beam again. I found the HIDs drowned out the mainbeam anyways.
