it mite work, but it depends on what current the holder is rated at, it should be 10A but bikes run slightly lower currents than cars.
if you have a halfords close by, pop in and look at theres, its a one that goes into the original cig lighter and extends it by 3mtrs and also lets you use the original cig lighter by "piggy backing" it. i bought one of these and just choped the end off and used the wire. i will try and find the link.

here is the link http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/s...egoryId_165489 or search their website for "Halfords 2 Way Rear Extension Socket".
if there is no How2 for this and anyone wants some advice, just PM me, or post in here.
    mick.

K bought all the parts and have the circuit in place so one end goes to fuse box other to earth. What fuse do I put in as a 15amp blew the fuse in the adapter I plugged in and 5a didnt blow either and didnt do much. Tried 10a which didnt blow either fuse but smoke started to appear from the adapter.

fuse board to inline fuse then connected to the Lighter socket. A wire coming from that to a sanded earth point.
    Tried the fuses as above.
Just a thought would it matter which way round I have the positive and negative plugged in on the lighter socket?
