Default K&N Panel Filter Cleaning Help PLEASE

    Hey Chaps,

I have just bought a K&N Panel Filter for my dad's CDTI 150, its used but been advised not much!

It has come with a cleaning kit, oil and other spray.

Can anyone give me a quick step by step of what I actually need to do to clean it and oil it?

I have been told its not done more than approx 10k so it should have loads of life in it yet but want to clean it before fitting for piece of mind!

    Thanks.

    Bye bye Vec B

OK, the filter has been cleaned and oiled using the K&N instructions and kit.
It has been oiled for nearly 24 hours now and has been sat with the dirty side up so the oil should be soaked in now!

NEXT QUESTION......when I re-fit, should I leave the battery terminal off for an hour or so, so that all ECU code's etc reset?

Will this make any difference or will a standard laptop code reset be suffice?

    Thanks!
