Default Damn vauxhall and their cost cutting

I have just bought an exhaust backbox for my 2.2dti sri from ebay. It's from a 120 cdti sri that only had 16k on the clock. I have checked the part no.s on bosals website and both back boxes are the same.

I have just removed the back box from mine and my exhaust has a nice angle cut into it to contour into the bumper. The new one is completly flat. When did they change that?!?!

I have noticed, as I have replaced my original 2.0T back boxes with a nearly-new set off a 2.0TSXI, and the tips are straight and not 'chamfered' like my old ones. I actually am not that bothered, as I rather like the fact that the new ones jut out slightly in a 'cross-cut' sort of way if you know what I mean. And in any case, one of my old pipes jutted out more than the other, so I'm happy. Also the new tips are shinier than the old ones.

I believe the angled tips were standard on the Edition100, and were certainly not standard-fit on all other models with twin pipes. I have a feeling they may have been on the GSI.

To be fair, if it fits, I wouldn't care less
