    Default is it just me or are vectra lights crap!?

    has anyone upgraded normal headlight bulbs? and what to?

    mine are rather on the rubbish side ive decided!

    hi m8
    well known on here that they are crap

    you got several choices m8
    new bulbs which most go for osram nightbreakers or phillips bluevision.
    or the biggy which is go for the HIDs

    does this help

    yeah cheers mate, so if i pop up to halfrauds tomorrow they should have something?
    what wattage am i aiming at?

    legally 55watts m8
    if you can wait.
    go on ebay and get them.
    they are a lot cheaper then halfords

    On A side Note Mhvcbv Did u see channel 5's Hotel Inspector tonight.. it was on the Rose n Crown in Town!! What a Shambles!!

    i use the philips bluevision
    tried the nightbreakers but kept blowing a bulb all the time.

    You *might* improve the lights by doing Duncan's suggested advice of raising the low beam setting slightly.

    Tried searching for his post, but damned if I can find the link.

    This also worked on my facelift, so it's not just a fix for pre-facelift Vectra's.

    There is nothing wrong with the lamps, it just the way they are setup; compare dip and main beam
    Usual solution is to replace the bulbs, but this usually only increases the illumination on dip and has little effect on main beam

    Another consideration is asking your local MoT station to realign the lamps to the highest legally correct setting
    I've done this on both of my Vectras and have this performed a few days after taking ownership

    One final point is I have noticed the latest E bulbs have a dreadful green tint in them
    Philips Vision Plus is my recommendation, dip AND main beam
