Maybe , check your battery terminals are not loose as well.
Was it only doing it when you turned the steering wheel?
If so, then nothing is wrong. The electric PAS pump draws a lot of juice from the electrical system.
checked battery terminals they are tight
its doing it all the time even when stationary
have got the same problem been to the garage 3 times
dont think there is a fix
just a design fault i think
the is a old post some where on the forum mate might help you
FIXED
it was the 13mm high tension charging connection on the back of the alternator
i had to disconnect it then sand it with wet and dry the reconnect
now no flickering lights at all even when steering
also it has fixed a problem i had with juddering engine at low revs which seemed like a misfire thought it was egr that i had recently cleaned now it runs fine
saved me a small fortune for 10mins work and a piece of sand paper
result nice one
May try this fix as my display pulses .. could be my 'Animal Magnetism' ....
