sri brake discs

could anyone tell me if the rear brake discs on a 57plate sri, are vented or solid ?

Vented only on the V6 models mate, petrol and diesel...

Can't be certain about the 2.0 Turbo, but it's all based on the engie as appose to the trim level...

mines not a 57, but i think all sri's are solid rears...

mines a 1.9cdti 150 hp, so should be solid ?

Depends on the engine mate. You could get the SRi with a 3.0 Diesel, which would have the vented rears, but that's the only engine that would with that trim level...

Yip, the 2.0T as well
It's the only on that has different sized front discs

to put vented on the rears you need new calipers matey as the disk themselves are 28mm thick IIRC

So all vented rear disks are the same size acroos the models that have them?

for the GSI and 3.0 the rears are 292's. all others are 278 and would require the wider caliper to fit vented, thicker discs obviously. Not sure what the rears are on 2.0T though HTH
