MPG

went down to southampton today and before setting off I reset the trip computer, got back and checked the mpg on the display and it read 43.2 mpg and this is out of a 2.2 petrol (Z22se) motor!! strange but noticed since having the new timing chain etc fitted that I didn't seem to be using as much fuel and this proves it and was driving at speeds of mainly 70mph and occassionally up to 80mph, my missus struggles to get this out of her clio 1.2!! just thouht I'd share this bit of boring info'with you. lol

Sounds good to me Pete 37 mpg with my Direct at present but am thinking of a little tinker prior to my MOT in September & the winter, may change the oil & plugs should help things ......

Certainly won't do any harm to do that and maybe an air and fuel filter while you're at it perhaps.

37 and 43 mpg i would say is very good... (ive only managede to get 37 mpg once out of the estate...) i normal is about 32 mpg..
