Guy's, I have just got my used and Vx re-worked EGR Valve, and the solenoid side has the hole in it.....does this need to be closed/blanked off before fitting or am I OK to roll with it?

No its fine mate. the hole would have been drilled in order to insert a punch to lightly tap out the piston assembly inside for cleaning. It's fine how it is and the hole is already there for when you need to clkean it out again
If it makes you feel any easier, you could put a bit of silicon over it to cover it but it won't take any harm if you don't
HI By vx reworked i presume this is a refurbished item from any dealer if so how much was it, as i think my egr is in the early stages of clogging up.
