Default Real quick one, petrol/trip computer

Right guys, quick as you can, i'm off in 15/20 mins.

Trip computer saying 15 mls left in tank

Petrol light has been flashing for last 5 ish miles

Best priced shell 99.9p 18 mls away (Boston)

Current av. mpg on last tank full 29.9mpg

I've gotta go to Boston anyway so what do you all think, risk it or put a fivers worth in before I go.

I'm gonna drive nice and sensible 2.0T siggy for what its worth

My other car. 1972 1641cc slammed beetle. On the road finally!!

I stupidly ran out of petrol once, due to an unforseen set of circumstances. It was very, very embarrassing, and wouldn't recommend it.

I parked it up at night outside my house (the trip clock showed 12 miles), and due to a lot of cars being in the road, I parked it half on the pavement. Came out the next morning, and it wouldn't start - even after I had pushed it off onto the road to level it.

Fill it up well you get the chance.

How many litres did you put in? Then you can see how far you could have gone on zero.

Filter was brand new about 3k miles ago, its not just the price tadders, if i use tesco 95ron I only get 320/340 per tank if I use just normal shell i get 380/400. Big difference imo and the shell is cheaper.

You beat me when mine said zero I drove to work and back around 11 miles and then filled. I only managed about 58 litres. If you put more than 61 in then you were low.
