Had enough of VX brush offs!

Hi all,

Decided had enough with this swirl valve problem, putting together a very strongly worded e-mail to watchdog due to the constant brush off about this swirl valve problem! This was obviously not designed for purpose and normal wear and tear does not lead to a redesign! I am trying to get some names together that have suffered this issue and the mileage at which it occurred. Trading standards and watchdog should give vx plenty of bad publicity. Can you e-mail me your details and I`ll get together a load of info and e-mail it in.Anybody that doesn`t want to be contacted don`t bother replying. They paid the majority of one guys at 82k miles and they werent interested at all in mine after 65k miles. SOrry if I`m ranting just had enough of big companies not taking responsibility.

i know what your saying but all the car companies are in a bad way at the moment and vauxhall is one of them i can see why they wont issue a recall unnless its safety related as there probably trying to keep affloat

by the way i do completely agree with you your swirl valve acutator and rod should be a recall i just doubt it'll ever come to fruisiton

had this on mine at about 57k and the one on my salvage could do with doing too.

Whoops its plasma (around soulmans house and forgot to log him out!)

Mate they should have just done that anyway I would still do a write up about it

Lack of power at low revs - such as pulling away from traffic lights or out at a junction.
Its like driving the Old naturally Aspirated 1.7D in the old old old Astras!
