Default anyone know if the headlight assembly housing / lens can be split ?

    Hi All.
I wanna fit some DRLS into my headlight assembly (like the Audi R8)
Ive had a lil go at detaching the lens off the front of the headlight assembly but it seemed a bit reluctant to part company with the housing..
I didnt wanna break anything so thought id best put ma tools away and come and ask the boys (and girls) on the VC forum ...

    Anyone successfully done this...
Think the lights would look spot on inside the cluster, ive found an ideal place for them to go, (vertical on the outside edge), its the perfect length.

    Cheers Guys
    Let me know..
PS i called the garage but they didnt call back

Yeah man ! thats what im trying to do !
I was reaaaallly hoping, as i read throught the pages that i was gonna see the end result there!??

Looks like its gonna look spot on tho when its sorted...

wonder if the leds give off much heat?
i wouldnt want them melting the plastic lens's.. :-I

Incidentally i got a pair of led strips off the bay for £15 delivered....and then my mate found the same ones (24cm / 24 leds) for £10 delivered....

Im wiiring mine to ingnition (with sepaerate on off switch), so i dont have to have my sidelights on..
