    Default Clay please!

    Guy's,

I've finally decided that both my Vec-B and my dad's Vec-C need claying and im going to actually do them sometime soon! I HOPE!

Can you's lot recommend me some clay and where to get it from?

So far I have see the Halfrauds jobbie for £19.99, which is the mit, lube and the clay bar.....but the reviews say it expensive....so the floor is your's guy's!

Im off to put the little one to sleep now so will pick this up in the morning!

    Thanks in advance.

    G.

    Bye bye Vec B

You can use watered down shampoo.

I would buy a 1 gallon of Meg last touch so you can use that. You then should use the last touch after every wash.

Cheaper to buy Megs last touch in bulk. Usually £18.99 for 1 gallon with a dilute raio of 1:1 so 2 gallons. Speed detailer is around £8.99 for 24oz. When the mrs has finished with the glass cleaner sprayer give it a clean and use that.

If water is as good as anything, water it is!

Also, what do I need to do, is it just a case of rub it over the paintwork? Do I need to do anything after this or is the clay it?

    Thanks.

Spray the paint, rub the clay over - it should glide smoothly over it. If you feel any resistance then you need more lubricant as you'll be damaging the paintwork itself...

After a few rubs over an area, slide your hand over it and and compare it to an area you haven't done, and you should be able to feel the difference...

I'd get some proper lubricant if you can, I only used water as a last resort and don't know if actually did any damage to the paint or not.......

I buy the Meguiars Clay kit from a company called Polished Bliss:

    http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/acata...kit-clean.html

I used it for the first time 2 years ago. Nothing to be scared of, just use plenty of lubricant and don't rub to hard. The paint felt like glass after I'd used it. I honestly think it felt better than new. Well worth the effort.
