    Default 3.0 CDti Service Plan

Really surprised I can't find this anywhere on the forum but has anyone got details of the service plan for the Z30DT engine.

Need to know which are the standard and optional items for each service year? Just about to sort out a 4th (4yr) service (but only 60,000 miles) with a local garage.

    Thanks

its in the hand book for each of the services. Is yours due a full or partial service?

As far as I can work out all the services are the same, except brake fluid renewal and cambelt intervals
I don't get invoices with my car, but the pice has been the same throughout

My car is going in for its fifth service tomorrow, so will compare

    Oil (5w30)
    Oil filter
    Sump plug
    Air filter
    Pollen filter
    Fuel filter

My car didn't come with a service book, so I am using a copy from the VX website
However, my maintenance plan ends in November and since I plan to keep the car for a further six to twelve months it will need at least two services under my own ownership
I am therefore buying the service book tomorrow, item TS/15571A-06
Contact VX and see which service book your car should have

5th service is a minor service so looking at my invoice from last year that should only be oil & filter. I'm just trying to work out what extra items would be needed for 4th service.

    spark plugs?
    pollen filter?
    brake fluid?
    gearbox oil?
    power steering?
    air filter?

As above, they've done the same six replacement elements on the previous services

The diesel doesn't have spark plugs, so strike that
The power steering is inspection level only at each service

The brake fluid is every two years, irrespective of mileage

The gearbox oil shouldn't need inspecting or renewal

Mine had its 5th /120K miles service today, although the car is only on 86368 miles

Other jobs found to do were :
Steering column mounts broken - warranty repair
Cambelt renewal and rollers inspection - authorised
Key remote failure - replacement not authorised
Headlamp aim inspection - not authorised

I am disputing why the warranty does not cover the key remote failure, also disappointed that the warranty/service does not cover headlamp aim inspection so I will arrange that elsewhere after I have replaced both standard bulbs with Philips ones
However, I am glad they have approved the cambelt renewal, as the dealership has quoted 5.5 hours labour (plus 2.0 hours for the rollers inspection) and £85 in parts, giving a total of £330 (£290 after discount)

    No advisories either

The dealership would have carried out the cambelt renewal, but we weren't sure if the warranty plan would cover it and would have meant they had the car for two days, but I wasn't sure when booking it in
As a result they had not ordered the parts either
The parts are now ordered and will probably be ready for the second week of August
