my tomtom just get used much and the battery is often about dead when i come to use it,
i've just sat here and out the corner of my eye -something lights up, i expect my mobile to go off but the tomtom has just turned on all by itself. wtf. anybody else had this happen?

never noticed mine doing that but then it's usualy tucked away in a cupboard

to be fair if its left fully charged they generally go dead in a few weeks - best to top it up once a week (linked to pc or in the car) or run it from the charger when in the car - you can get replacement batteries via ebay and other reputable outlets online with strip/replacement instructons - mine had to be replaced when the unit was 13 months old!

It's a known problem, update it or do a cold reboot. They do go flat if you don't use it though.
