    Default auto volume

    does any one notice that the volume of the cd70 automatically turns down if it feels its just too loud?

    Yes, it has speed sensitive volume and bass control. It tells you how to adjust the settings in the manual.

    My CDR2005 I had to turn the speed sensitive off as it was WAY to loud when driving, then way to quite when stationary. It was set to 5 out of 5 though!

    But then ripped the whole thing out and fitted a Sony bluetooth stereo anyways

    oh thats interesting!! i didnt know it was speed sensative! whats the point in that? is it not upto the user any more on how loud they want their audio?
    i'll try have a look at the manual.

    the point is that as you increase the speed of your car then road noise and engine noise increases as does wind and other external contributary factors....the idea is that by having the volume increase automatically that you can leave your hands on the wheel and concentrate on the road thus avoiding an accident and the bass is to prevent vx having to fork out for damaged speakers owing to misuse !!

    oh thats pretty cool! i was thinking it turned it down for some reason! cool!
    think i'll leave the auto volume then, so how does the auto bass work with uprated speakers?

    not sure maybe you can let us know - i would imagine its an impedance level contolled circuit protection - might not kick in as low as the standard speakers
