    Default Notchy Gears

    Guys,

    I've booked my car in as it is notchy from 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd. I have read that this is a problem with some vectra boxes and that it is changed under warantee.

    I spoke to the guy in servicing and he mentioned that he has not heard of this? AJA or anyone do you have any good info I can take with me in order to get it sorted. my car is an 04 v6 CDTI oh and no chip.

    Would my box be the F40 box?

    Theres a modified, updated F40. If you get a new one, it sure will be one of those.

    Cool just need to work on getting one. It sometimes feels ok but others feels a little dodgy!

    they can be quite notchy when cold but should be better once the gearbox oil warms up.

    Mine on the 1.9 was a git for ages.

    Replaced and all good now. VX did it no hassle.
