Default Tyre Help for 19" Snowflakes

    Hi all

First post here (apart from my introducing post) so go gentle

Wife called last night parked up by the side of the road, with a puncture. Sidewall has a big hole in it so no idea what was hit - tyres are in need of replacement anyway so that's why I'm here.

At the moment we have 235/35 ZR19 Y91 Continental Contact 2 all round. I've had a quick search for these on Blackcircles and etyres, which come in at £180+ per tyre. Ideally would like to pay less - wife is about to enter the statutory-rate part of her maternity and money is tight, also the car is used as the wifes runaround so performance isn't really an issue at the moment.

So, need some decent, long lasting tyres that work well in all conditions, aren't necessarily amazing performance, and can fit pretty quickly. I'm in SE Reading if that helps.

It was a rear tyre that went, need to replace both rears, the fronts have a bit more tread on them so thinking of moving the fronts to the rear and putting the new ones on the front - sound reasonable ? Either that or just replace all 4 but if we can get a few more months out of the rears then I'm keen on saving money that way.

    Thanks everyone

Did a quickie (oo-er) on the bay some cheap ass deals but I suppose it depends on what brand you want. You could get a set of Yugoslavian no grip super sliders for the price of one good tyre. HTH

I have those and they are great value for the money, yes I have had tyres that grip better in the wet but when you work out you are paying £75 per tyre and not £180 you have to make some small sacrifices so for i have don 10K mile on mine and thy still have 5-6mm of tread left Great value for money

Thanks Dan, they look good and have got good reviews.

If I order from Camskill before 1pm, will they be delivered tomorrow or will I have to wait until Monday ? Probably me being thick but this is confusing to me:

If you order before 1pm they will despatched today, then it depends on the delivery time... I would say all being well, they will be delivered tomorrow.

Excellent, all ordered. Now I need a place close to me who can fit them, ideally on Saturday morning. Any ideas?

Try one of the local independant tyre places round your way mate, they normally will fit for £5-£10 per tyre.
