Default HELP - probs with new bulbs

    Morning guys

i decided yesterday i would upgrade the headlight bulbs in my facelift SRI, went down to halfords and bought a set of their Extreme Brilliance bulbs,
fitted them last night and while no major drama getting either one out the new ones just didnt seem to fit in as snuggly as the originals.

Its as if the flat metal base plate(that sits between the bulb glass and the 2 metal connectors) is just marginally bigger and wont push in all the way
i did get the 2 bulbs to stay in but not really sure if they are in properly

anyone seen this before or any ideas ??

    cheers guys

They will only go in one way, make sure the straight edge side of the buld is lined up with the raised edge on the holder. they should fit snug then.

Check there's not any funny tabs sticking out on the flat surface of the new bulb. A while ago I broke the lamp holder on my motorbike, I just could not get it to sit flush so brute force and ignorance MADE it fit lol, but because although it took the same bulb as my Frontera at the time, the bulb has a tab that stuck out which was fine for the car, but not for the bike. Bending it flat with a leatherman sorted it though when I bought a new headlight!!! (NOT doing that again!!!)

    thanks for the replies lads

got it sorted last night, the little tabs were at the top instead of the bottom where the little recess for them is, turned around and all sorted now!
