what gearbox on the 2.2 dti sri

as the title says is it ie. f40 or what ,would the 6 speed 1.9 box fit my car ? or does the saab 2.2 dti come with a 6 speed box

F35 on yours (same as V6 3.2 petrol and Saab 2.2 and Saab 3.0 diesel).F40 six-speeder don't fit.

thanks diesel dog thats that out the window . dont suppose you know if their is a solid flywheel out there for these

Not that I know of.

You would have to buy a solid DMF that also came with the appropriate clutch plate that had the damper springs built into it,but damper springs in clutch plates aren't up to the job of dealing with high performance diesel engines any more.

The DMF is designed to reduce the vibrations from the engine into the gearbox.Without a DMF you will get too much vibration running into the gearbox,and this can damage the teeth on the gears in no time at all.
