I had it in Vectra 'B's & was quite good but it's only, or was audible information very crude in comparison to what is available today on a stand alone 'sat-nav' I know nothing about any up to date version hth ....
Was looking at the units on ebay and they are all under 20 quid, always nice to have another working button lol. Do you know if it takes its signals from the blue speed camera type things at the side of the road?
I believe so, saw something on telly about the blue cameras being traffic masters..
yeah was fifth gear i think
Just have a go at this me thinks
It is indeed the blue cameras you see, also this is a 'pay as you go' £25 for a year that was two years ago hth ...........
Yeah looked into it, its 30 quid now . Still gonna give it a try i think though, i've seen the kit for as little as a tenner and if it don't work then i haven't lost much. Cheers lads
I use a Traffic Master freeway
It sits in the middle of the top of the dash and I regularly get asked by people, "oh is that a camera spotter"
"No it's Traffic master"
They then look all puzzled
I got the unit for my Mondeo in 2004
The licence used to be £50 for two years but is now £35 per year
You can also update the module every six months, getting rid of the basic functions, but finding that menu is a nightmare!
Trafficmaster are marketing something called Q-busta.

Looks to be a variant of the freeway units, and not too dissimilar to the setup previously found in Vec B's.
Costs £130 (fitted) but comes with lifetime subscription, so no more annual renewals.
This is what you get
anybody think its worthwhile ?
