Be very carefull with Astons, they are not telling you the whole picture. There advertised deals don't tell you that the price includes the FDA (Finance Deposit allowance) and also that on many cars they keep the V5 in their name for 3 months.

They are quite local to me and I understand they had their knuckles wrapped over similar deals when the INsignia first came out.

They advertised the 1.8 Exclusive for £12999, but you could not buy one without finance as it included the FDA!

I rang a few of these dealers which were advertising really low prices on their on-line web sites when looking for a Insignia. Many of the prices shown are purely a ploy to get you to ring them, which I did.
None of them could deliver at the price advertised.

Few of them show the actual OTR prices regardless what they blurb on their sites, infact some have since been forced to add in small print that prices shown are not OTR prices and may include Finance and scrappage deal allowances, and in some cases may be pre-registered, (though they should state this of course). When you buy a new Insignia VX charges £675 for delivery, charges like this or £395 for metalic paint etc. are often not mentioned until you come to pay the final balance bill, plus of course any extra's options you may have added.

When it came to the crunch I found I got within a couple of hundred quid difference with local dealers. Also dont expect a brilliant PX price for your own car either if using a low cost on-line deal.

There are current posts on other forums on this same subject where some people have been offered stupidly low prices for their vecs.
Also after waiting ages for the car to be delivered it was not the model they had ordered. The dealer then said they could'nt deliver the model he wanted at the price originally quoted, he's cancelled it and is currently trying to get his deposit back.

Something that shines... is not always gold! At least with a local dealer you can always grab his throat if something goes wrong. Certainly use the online prices to help get you a better deal at your dealers, but they know too that the prices your've printed out and showning them are rarely obtainable.

what i use to say to people who wanted to pay "cash" was to keep the cash in their pocket, pay finance for 3 month then get a settlement figure and pay it off. They get better deal and we get better commision.
