Default Where is the outside air Temp probe?

Just had a little look about and all i could find was something poking out next to the N/S foglight. Is that it? If not what on earth is it?! it has a metal shaft behind it.

I've changed mine for a VXR home brew so its a one off, so its not pre facelift or facelift so the positioning will be different, but the sensor is the same.
