If its the service plan you got then you do not need paperwork, it will be logged against your number plate.
Make sure they actually do the service and stamp the book properly. Without that then your warranty is void.

They do have a 'service wash' option that should be free, if you care about your paint then opt-out of this.

I'm soooo tempted to pop in a reply to that one but I'll leave it to people that have had first-hand experience of AC.

Stand over the car when they're doing the service - seriously!

Seeing as it's Arnold Shark, they'll probably just replace the oil with cheapo 10/40 semi-synthetic oil. Oh, and break something on the car and insist it was like that when you took it in. Failing that, they'll just scratch the paintwork.

Its the service plan, its not free, it costs about £290 for 2 warranty services or something. You pay up front and when its due, nothing to pay. Unless it needs parts that are not needed at said service.

Cheers matey, obviously this is something they try and get you to take on when you buy a car from them, but from what I gather from the numerous low opinions of AR, it sounds like one is best avoiding them after your've bought the car. Never bought a car from them myself.

It does'nt look as though the scheme is saving you all that much money anyway. I dont think I paid much more than that combined price for the first 2 services on my last vec-c.

I work for arnold clark, bought my Astra from them (different branch from the 1 I work in) and got the 2years servicing/mot plan for FREE

they occaisionally offer it at "special event weekends" and so on.

Anyway, slightly confusing here, but bear with me, I work for 1 of their fiat/citroen branches, bought the car from 1 of their renault branches, so had to take it to a different dealership again to be serviced (vauxhall branch obviously)

anyway the service was all carried out properly, (I checked the oil filter, spark plugs, air filter etc. to make sure they were changed) service book was all stamped as was the clark plan paperwork.

As said, you dont need the paperwork as they will check your reg on the computer to verify it has a clark plan, they should be able to re-issue you with new replacement paperwork also.

I see you're from Greenock so I assume it'll be greenock vauxhall you're going to, the service manager in there was our old service manager and hes a good guy to deal with, so any problems just speak to him.

    Another Arnold Cack thread!!!

Haven't had one of these in ages!!!

You've just got to know how to deal with them that's all.

Take your car into the service department, make sure they see the axe handle sticking out your pocket, they'll be good as gold Trust ME!!!
