Right this is purely out of interest....

Who has had a box, what box, how many miles with it in and what faults.

Some people tell of loads of faults others none. To start

Tunit box 200 miles everytime I booted it to overtake it went to limp mode.

Really? It never did that on mine in about 5k. Have you tried turning it down?

Not your fault mate. tried everything. Just life. Some seem to like them some don't. Just trying to see if there are any common factors. Should probably add age and milage of car to this thread

54 Plate Signum, 60k miles

DTUK CRD2 10k miles and no problems so far. Smokes under full load above 3k RPM, but does this anyway without the box.

Mine is on the lowest map at 0%

Recently had a Powerklick CRD 'Red' box (goes by other names).Makes a good difference (but not huge).

Seriously annoying habit of putting the car into limp mode (usually when overtaking!),even on the lowest (-3) setting.Although I should say that doing that made very little difference to the performance anyway (already overfuelling on standard setting ?).

Putting the tuning box on also seemed to coincide with DMF failure.

And despite what the computer is telling you the fuel consumption is much worse.All that black smoke says so.

Dragon Tuning Box, 2 years running _+2 map, no faults 2 years

And gives it a MASSIVE push

Take it off and you notice that push 'gone' even more, feels like a bloated heavy 177bhp slug

You dont buy a 3.0 V6 and put a performance box on it to drive like miss daisy and worry about a couple of mpg decrease.

03 Signum V6
a 2 year old MrHoot box.... has just let me down after 84,000 miles.... god I miss the shove! and the MPG has gotten worse!
...and have since noticed his website no longer exists....

recommend me a replacement!

SRi pre-facelift 04, 50,000 miles.

Fitted DTUK CRD2 over 8k and no probs. Running on lowest map at 0%. Still makes a decent difference though. Also have restricted EGR flow. Things have settled down now and I am averaging 44mpg (calculated from fill-ups).

Pre-Facelift cdti 150

104k miles, dtuk eco3

No engine light or running faults regardless of setting, just alot of fuel usage on slow driving.
no noticable smoke on any settings using v-power.

previously had an eco2 and wouldnt go on any setting other than setting "12" or would put into limp mode.
