    Default Caliper cleaning

    Hi guys

I'm going to give my calipers a lick of paint, but before I do that I need to clean them.

I found this on Halfords website:

    http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/s...Id_165594#dtab

And wondered if this would be ok to clean them up first?

If not, can anyone suggest alternative products for me?

    Thanks

just get a can of brake cleaner mate, spray it on and it clean's them a treat, give them a quick once over with a wire brush and more brake cleaner....

also get some 'engine' laquer for the calliper's heat resistant and the colour doesn't fade as quick as hammerite

    Thanks for that!

Is there any particular brand/product you'd recommend? I'm going for red calipers on a star silver signum. I'd like a really bright and vibrant colour Is the lacquer coloured or is that just a top coat after painting?
