HI
I have been quoted for a remap by mas performance http://www.masperformance.co.uk/
has anyone used these?
They have quoted me £220 all in which will give me 70nm extra torque and 40bhp, and also better mpg.
Is this true, do they work
Thanks

i just phoned this place, and i enquired about how it works, the guys states that he basically only changes the way the car works on full throttle and not at all times, he said other places map it to the position of the peddle but he dosent..
so whats the better option? surley if its only changed on full throttle its not gonna be that good on half throttle etc?
There is a map for the pedal possition to add more fuel but if that's all he is using, it won't effect fuel pressure, turbo pressure or the performance/fuel economy at anything but full throttle. It's more likely that he is effecting the map at high load only, that would allow him to adjust the boost, injection length, injection pressure at only high load. I think the latter is what he means.
Just had a little read of thier FAQ and I'd stay well away. They say that your warrenty would be uneffected for starters, VX can pull out and identify any remapping unless you have it put back before you go it (they can do that with just a tech 2). They also incorrectly describe the operation of a tuning box, so they don't know as much as they claim. Anyone can remap a car with the right hardware/software, they don't have to know much at all and you'll not know any better. I'd stick with a major brand like OPC, EDS or BSR.
yeh, i dont really like the idea of just changing the full load power tbh..
im going with power-tune.net.
Thanks everyone - I told him yesterday i was pulling out and he got real ****ty with me. Not professional at all.
Thanks again
