    Lightbulb nightmare at work

ive found out today by memo that my boss has decided to fit tracker systems to all our vans. i mentioned this to the lads that work under me and to say they were not best pleased is an understatement (everyone likes to skive icluding me) but my question is - once they are fitted is there any way to disrupt the signal without causing damage to the unit

I'd say that the drivers would have no say at all in the matter. The company would argue that it's for the protection of their vehicles and/or maintaining a more efficient use of their fleet (knowing where their employees are etc to better asign them to jobs). I don't think any tribunal, or whatever, would ever rule in an employee's favour on that matter. It may be different if they were putting trackers on the employee's themselves (which actually is a piece of p**s if the employee is using a company mobile phone as you can track someone by their mobile phone number using a number of systems (either web based or by downloading an app).

Cos that is what you get paid to do - work, not laze around. Who'll be complaining when the company closes due to unfavourable trading?
