Better running with AirCon On

Noticing how much better and smoother the car runs with the aircon on and idles better , probably due to a slight raise in tick over due to it being on, however thought things were going well 'til I pulled off from some traffic lights earlier and the car was making a grawnching sound and sluggish, suddenly dawned on me, I'd not released the damn hand brake!! I don't know what a state to get into eh!! lol

I am sure it beeps at you if you leave it on or it was a hire car that did.

My vectra beeps when you are moving with handbrake on. (I think it is when you go over 5 mph)

This age thing seems to be something us "older" members seem to have to put up with i,m afraid.

I do that all the time, the wife's car has an electronic brake and I keep forgetting.

whats a hand brake??? i thought that was an air freshener cos when i push the handle down the smell of burning stops

I think some of you are right it must be an age thing!! next thing I'll probably do when pulling away at the lights is put it in reverse instead of 1st gear and put me foot down!! lol
