    Default Vectra C Doors

    Hi Everyone

I am a newb to the forums, but have been checking the site out for a while for different gems of wisdom.

I recently damaged the front passenger side door of my 2003 vectra gts.
I have contacted a number of breaker yards for a replacment door. They all have something to offer.

My question is are the front doors on the vectra's different sizes i.e. would a vectra life or dti door fit my 2003 gts.

Any help and/or suggestions would be much appreciated.

    Thanks

Hi, all the front doors are the same on the vectra c,the rears can differ like on the estate because of the roof line and i think the saloon rear doors may be different to the hatchback. They are a doddle to do so dont be scarred of having a go...hope this helps

    Hi Andy

Thanks for getting back to me. I was worried that the door would arrive and wouldn't fit.

Shop was charging me €1650 to fit and paint a new door, I can get this door for €100 euro..

The only difference I could see, from a pic, is that my current door has silver trim on the window but the other door does not. Do you know if this can be transferred ?

    Cheers

Yes the trim can be transferred , it just slides upwards ( gently ).
The door itself is really easy to swap over , just mark all the hinge and brackets with marker pen , so you get a good alignment.
If your swapping everything from the old door to the new one , just take your time , everything is on bolts apart from the window motor regulator , this is held in with rivets.
Apart from that , it should be plain sailing .

    Hi all

I got my door and had it swapped over in about 40 minutes with a bit of help from a friend. It is very straight forward and the fit is perfect.

Thanks Sri Andy and proves for your help.

    HI

Anyone that is attempting to swap your door don't make the same silly mistake I did. When I swapped the door I didn'nt swap the base unit box i.e. the rectangle box on the inside of the door panel. This led to a deadlock on my door, not nice...

I managed to swap the unit, with much difficulty as the door was locked. Beware....
