    Default why is this??

    right here goes my 2002 veccy c 1.8 ls had far more things than my 2008 sri why is this? ill list what my old one had at the side of my new one


    middle headrest
    heaters in the back
    a light bult into the bottom of the mirror
    a foldin passenger seat
    i think wipers that came on with rain
    a little compartment below headlight switch.

    your tellin me even the bonnet on the old one had them lifters.the new one just the handle.and the old bonnet was a lot more heavy to lift this one like a feather lol

    I was told all this by ditchp, when i went to my first meet. the older ones, like mine & yours are better spec'd, than more recent models. Even a sunglasses holder & minor stuff like that

    yea its only minor stuff but you know its not there haha.oh well at least i did get the sunglass holder guess they splashed out that day lol

    I understand that some of the very early (2002) low-spec Vectras were loaded with extras, presumably to 'sex them up' a bit. Once the model was established and then facelifted VX started chopping bits here and there.

    The lack of bonnet lifters are due to weighing about the same as a feather - fitting them would make it bend...

    The facelifts cant have gas struts due to the bonnet been made from aluminium. Having gas struts would buckle to bonnet.

    You should still have the light under the mirror tho.

    My other car. 1972 1641cc slammed beetle. On the road finally!!

    Vauxhall cost cutting and it even goes so far that they removed the boot release switch from models post 05 so I believe.
