Default BTCC at Oulton Park - 14th May 2006

Well, another great turn out for the North West Vectra - C brigade, at a fantastic venue!!

An early start, with Chris, Ian C and Caterman (with excellent assistance from his two lads) as the first arrivals, roping off our stand and beginning the setup of Uncle Ians' House of Fun - undoubtedly the best marqee in town!!

Soon we were joined by AJA and Sharon, Robbie, George, Steve and of course Head Wonder Chef, Big Phil!

We did have to wait for the arrival of this chap before we could set the whole thing up............

our kind host, Johnathon Palmer, owner of Oulton Park, since there was a very real possbility that his 'chopper' could have airlifted our marquee!!

However, eventually, we were treated to the amazing spectacle of Ian's magnificent erection standing proud in all its glory.......................

(well, what on earth did you think I was referring to!?!?!)

Once the cars were all artistically arranged...........

We made ourselves at home and enjoyed another of Big Phils fantastic BBQ's...............

And enjoyed the racing from the best possible vantage point - I don't think it could have worked out better, with this kind of view of the track!!.............

I even managed to pick out the successor to the Vectaru...........Drinky just needs a little persuasion!!!

Thanks to all who attended to make this yet another massive North West success - the location was fabulous and the entertainment was the best, but at the end of the day, it's the members who make this site what it is, and I am delighted to be a part of it.

Special thanks also to Simon Bonser, events co-ordinator, who paid us a visit as well, and hinted that a stand in a similar position next year is not out of the question!!

If this is what our pre - PVS day out was like, I can only begin to imagine how amazing the Big One will be!!!!

    Roll on 4th June!!!

Privileged to be a part of it. I, and my too lads, (Caterman Mini & Phatty) thoroughly enjoyed it. The day is only as good as the members make it, and boy did we make it a good 'un

Looks like you lot had good one. I'd like to get down to one of these BTCC events at some point. Cant beat motor racing! Lovely pictures taken of the day. Another success for VECTRA-C.com. Love the banner by the way.
