    Question CDTi 150 with Sluggish performance and juddering tickover

    Morning All,

    My Veccy is struggling again and I just wonder if anyone had any tips for a novice.....

    Tickover isn't quite right it fluctuates and the general performance is sluggish under 2500rpm (or so).

    The car had a new EGR valve in May - this being diagnosed as the fault following it going limp home mode and it basically having no go (I nearly got stuck on my slightly sloping drive due to no power - loads of smoke etc.)

    The car has had the 3rd inject mod and the swirl vlave/new manifold mod.

    I think that covers what most ppl are indicating on here - other advice is to check the pipes - Which ones???? picture please????

    Please help.....I don't really want to go back to the Stealers (I have no more organs to sell to fund it!!).

    Thanks for the reply - I feel thick asking but where am I looking exactly...

    Also I forgot to mention the car seems to run slightly cooler than it did and possible slightly better mpg - this sounds good but its no fun with no performance and juddering!!

    Funny thing is that my 3.0 also seems to be more economical when juddering. Getting up to 100mpg when it's misfiring at 60mph, when it stops juddering I get 60mpg...

    Well I have just had a look under the bonnet and got it running upto about 2000rpm and I cant see any obvious hose 'leaks'.......

    What I really do with is a bit of advice as to whether I need to do any stripdown to check things better and pointers to what to try next......
