Default Possible to extend functions on a Eberspächer?

In my 2.2DTi it is factory-mounted a Eberspächer heater. It works very simple; dependent on outside/engine temperature, it starts heating the water for the compartment, when you start the car. So far so good, this works perfect in my car, heating the compartment within few minutes, even during the really cold days.

But, Old Nick always want more!
It would be perfect to have this heater to heat the car before I start up in the morning. During wintertime this will be a huge raise in comfort!

In the owners manual, I can see it is an option to have this heater started/stopped by a timer, built-in to the GID, and also have this remotecontrolled. According to this manual, I belive I have "everything" needed, apart from No7: "Stationärteil für Funkfernbedienung TP 44", a part with "JE - Bestell Nr. 22 1000 32 04 00" (partnumber at Eberspächer?), and Opel/VX partnumber 9 163 045. I'm not 100% sure what this part does, is it maybe only a remote receiver, or is it also controlling the timer thing?

    Any suggestions most welcome

actually think it can be coded in to the GID.... so you can set the timer there... the other parts you list is the remote..

change the code index in the GID and it should be possible to program ahead..

OK, here is a couple of pictures. Guess it's quite obvious where in the engine room it is placed; just below the diesel filter. It is a aluminium grey "can" with a yellow sticker (SJ letters) on it, with some fuel line into the top, and a tiny exhaust pipe (bronze coloured pipe) going to under the car.

Here in scandinavia many diesel cars have some kind of extra heater, either fuel driven or electric, as standard. In other countries, like Germany, it will normally not be standard, I don't know about GB/UK.

I asked my dealer, and got a very accurate answer. My variant of heater is the same they use in more advanced versions. Mine does not have a circulation pump for the cooling water, so it will only be able to heat when the engine is running. It heats the cooling water, the engine's waterpump will distribute the heat. It is nothing I can do with it, it works automaticly, and it will only work if a combination of outside temp and engine temp is low enough.
SO, what I need, is a circulation pump and a few parts related to this, and then a Tech2-job. It was rather pricey, approx £1.200 with all, only the pump was approx £600! But, my dealer is the helpful kind, telling me that there are "other places" they sell this upgrade set for a smaller price. I found a Opel site here in Norway, selling the set for approx £450, included the receiver for remote controller. The remote controller should be easy to get on ebay or similar, since it is a standard thing with standard frequencys. It's pretty straight forward to mount it myself, and then I can get my dealer to Tech2 it. It needs some new software, so most probably I cannot do this with a OpCom.

I dunno if I'm gonna do this, it is some money, and it already does the most important thing, getting the engine and compartment fast warm even on the cold winterday
You can hear it a bit, but not much noise, it's a kind of "burning sound".

    Hope this helps others
