Default Dropped a spanner - HELP!!!

Just placed it on top of the engine cover but it slid, rolled and went onto the tray under the engine, not wanting to leave it there I had a look but with the cr being quite low at the front it was not easy.

How easy does this tray come off or is there another way to retrieve the spanner?!

I dropped an 8mm socket between the banks. There is no hope in hell I can get it out. It's stuck solid and I don't have a magnet
