Default quick question about diesel filter

hi changed diesel filter on my y30dt engine, i assume if the main seal was not seated correctly it would leak diesel due to pressure?. i am sure its fine just being paranoid i guess.would there be a obvious leak?

Wouldnt necessarily leak oil as the oil filter is upright. may get some oil splashed if the gap is severe - no where near as bad as if it was the sump plug washer (upside down). Easiest way to check is completely dry the area with tissue and tehn take it for a drive then recheck. Other than cross threading I cant see the seal being on wrong

LOL ^^ If the seal wasn't seated correctly , air would be drawn in , and you'd notice the running of your car would suffer.
