Default water / methanol injection fitted :)

wish i had discovered this stuff sooner!!!

i came across a thread on another frum weeks ago about the delights of water/meth injection, i had never heard of it.

so i did lots of careful research into it .
i then started looking at kits which range from about £220 to £800
well i didnt want to pay this so i made my own. cost about £60

for those who dont no anything about it an are interested just type it in google and you will be flooded with info!

just thought i would share it with you guys

Sounds interesting. Does it only work on forced induction engines or can NA engines benefit too?

Speaking of benefits, what are you seeing with yours? You can't post about a £60 performance mod without more info, come on mate, don't leave us hanging.

no doesnt have to be forced induction althogh the whole point of it is to cool the air entering the engine which is obviously more effective on forced induction.

i did read that gains of 10-15bhp have been recorded in n/a staright 4 engines.

i have set mine up to work on pressure switch (also master switch inside car for disarming whole system) i have had my car remped and my boost is now max 1.3 bar, so i have set the pressure switch to come on at 1 BAR. as it kicks in you can feel the car pull again as if it has just had a nice big gulp of fresh cold air. seems smoother at the top of the gears too.

i installed it yesterday and went for a drive for about half an hour and gave it a good hammering. pulled over after about 20-30 mins to check everything was all ok and when i toucjhed my boost pipe it was like a ****** fridge.

well worth the money i reckon!!

im really interested in this, but,
what components did you use?pump, injector, etc. are you going to do a how 2 for it? if not do you have any fotos of the install?
the kits i have seen are like £150+

I have heard about this and was really interested in doing it but when finding out how much to get the kit i gave up.

How2 on this would be brilliant mate, i have also heard that it could bring some good gains on the CDTI's because diesels hate warm/hot air.

    info info info please
