    Default Signum boot catch problem

    Hi guys

The exterior boot switch/catch was recently playing up on my Signum. When the car was unlocked the catch wouldn't open the boot. So I carefully removed the cover and rubber seal to reveal the metal plate underneath. It appears that all this plate does is push in a very small switch (size of a match head).

The only issue I can see is that the metal plate wasn't making the correct contact with the catch and therefore not openeing the boot. The boot opens fine when I press the 'match-head' switch but I'm worried about the eventual damage from water getting in.

Does anyone know how I can remove the plastic surround inside of the assembly so I can put everything back together?

Do I need to take the whole boot lid apart? (Hope not!)

I can post pictures if anyone requires.

    Thanks guys
